Church School at UPC

Except during the summer, the church school classes meet from 9:45 am to 10:45 am each Sunday morning, between the two services of worship.

Nursery children (babies who can sit to 3-year-olds) meet in the Music Room for music activity and play. Parents, please accompany your child. A regular nursery is also provided. Broadly graded classes are provided for children from the age of three through senior high school.

Classes for adults and college students vary in content, duration, and format. Subjects may include Bible study, church history, ethics, Presbyterian doctrine, current issues in the life of the church, personal growth, and family relationships. Because of the strong interest of our members in adult Christian education and the wide range of their backgrounds, UPC has an outstanding adult church school program.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL

The Meaning of Jesus
A joint adult Sunday School class was launched on October 16; members are reading together the book The Meaning of Jesus. In this book, leading New Testament scholars Marcus Borg and N. T. Wright present their different interpretations about the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Jon Cogburn is leading the class. The class meets in the Parks Wilson Room. It’s not too late to join us!
