MISSION STATEMENT
In response to God's grace, University Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge seeks creatively—through nurture, education, worship and community outreach—to sustain an inclusive, compassionate family of faith; it seeks to promote spiritual growth by awakening souls to God's infinite mercy embodied in the reconciling love of Christ.
—Approved by Session December 1995

Welcome!

We hope that this web site combined with participation at worship will give you at least a beginning sense of the ministry of University Presbyterian Church (UPC).

As you might have guessed, we are a congregation filled with people of every generation, of varied religious and cultural backgrounds, of varied theological and political views, and of different races and sexual orientations. At UPC, wonderful relationships of challenge and love exist across these categories that elsewhere might be considered boundaries. We are committed to sharing God’s grace with one another and with the broader community in a variety of ways that you can read more about in this brief brochure.

If you know already that you are interested in finding out more about participation in the life of this community of faith, please indicate that you would like a pastoral call when you sign the friendship register in the pew or give us a call in the church office. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, UPC welcomes you.

We are happy that you have chosen to worship with us and invite you to join us on the journey of faith!

Patti Snyder, Pastor

Clint Mitchell, Associate Pastor
